Gene KL7/KB7Q.

These are a few pictures of a sked I had with Gene, KL7/KB7Q.

This EME contact was important for me as I'd had many, many months of problems with my system RX, and, having now fixed these issues, this was the first real try at 6m EME, to 'prove the pudding' as they say :-)

The shot on the right shows the SpecJT screen capture of the first signal I saw from Gene, at this point in time my moon was just a little over 2 degrees above the horizon, and with an azimuth of 63 degrees, not my best direction either..

And from the SpecJT screen above, this is the decoded text as sent by Gene. A good clear set of calls and report at -23 dB, a nice signal from a single yagi and 900w!

And finally, once I'd sent Gene my RO report, and then copied the RRR at -31dB back as shown here, I sent him my 73.

About 30 seconds into the transmit period for my 73, the 10 amp breaker on my amplifier tripped off, and whilst waiting for it to go through the warm up again I copied a 73 from Gene at -29 dB and the QSO was complete!

Thanks Gene!
